Prepositions of Place

Hello, 6th A students!

Today is your lucky day.

Let's make a review of the prepositions of place. in, on, at

IN = Dentro / Em
in a abox, in a room, in a park, in a street, in a town, in a country, in the north, in the west, in the water, in the sea,  in the river, in bed, in hospital, in prison / in an armchair, in the field

ON = Em cima de
On a table, on the floor, on the grass, on the left, on the right, on the coast, on a road, on the way, on the 2nd floor, on a chair, on the corner

Attention! We say on a farm (numa quinta).

AT = Em / NO(A) / À (AO)
at home, at school, at university, at the desk, at the table, at the window, at the door, at the traffic lights, at a station, at an airport, at the top, at the bottom, at the back

Attention! arrive at (chegar a) - small places, towns, villages - Ex. He arrives at Évora.
                   arrive in (chegar a) -  large areas, cities - Ex: He arrives in Lisbon.
